No. Single travellers will be accomodated with a roommate of the same sex or can opt for a single room for $375 extra. I'm a woman, do I have to wear Hijab? No. Few places in the Middle East require women to wear full Hijab and Egypt and Turkey are no exception. You can dress pretty much the way you would in a normal Western setting.Otherwise please dress appropriate to your activities: It will be hot weather, especially in Egypt; you'll visit the beach, take dance classes (in air conditioned rooms), walk and party in trendy nightclubs. Please also bring hats, suncreen and sunglasses. Is the water and food potable? All your hotels will be top-quality with safe food and water. Most all western convinience foods as well as bottled water are available widely. Please avoid raw food and food that cannot be peeled when eating outside tourist areas. No. We will arrange air travel with our travel agent and let you know the exact cost (round trip) from New York. Or, you are free to make your own travel arrangements. How much money should I bring? This is really to your taste. Generally food and goods can be had for quite cheap rates. Your buffet style breakfasts will be included. In many parts of Egypt tipping is not mandatory though it is a common practice to round up totals. Extra side-trips or trips that aren't scheduled cost anywhere from $10 to $100 dollars depending on what they are and what's involved. Shopping, however, is almost universally cheap: costumes, hookah/shisha, knick knacks, souvenirs, instruments are all cheap, though shipping larger items home can be a job.
